6. Access to Resources: Clients can access workout plans, instructional videos, meal guides, and other resources provided by me, enhancing their understanding of fitness and nutrition. Also, if you’re doing something wrong you can record it and show me. I will correct form & nutrition this way.

In person trainers only really guide you through workouts for like a hour and then you’re on your own, but online training is more so guidance when you need it. My Journey

I’m 24 years young, I grew up in Philadelphia & played football from a young age. 

 

I’ve been working out for over 12 years & I currently hold 2 fitness certifications. 📃 

 

 I was a in person trainer for 2 years, and I’m currently a manager at a gym. Now I do online personal training, and I have my own clothing brand called TheThoroughBreed!

Here’s the story on how I got into training 👇🏾 

 

Growing up I was always called the “big head boy”

 

 I hated that so much lol

 

Can you imagine being skinny with a big head?

 Lol now that I think about it, I looked like a lollipop 🍭. 

That made me want to somehow start to fit into my head one day. 

 

I started watching wrestling at a young age alongside things like dragon ball z, and I wanted to be like the muscular guys on the screen. A lightbulb went off in my head like hmm maybe MUSCLES are the key to growing into my head lol. 

 

I started doing push ups, and sit ups religiously believing I was gonna grow muscles in no time. Mannnn was I in for a rude awakening! I struggled to put on the amount of muscle I needed for this head! 😂 

 

Eventually I got older and started playing football, and thats where the real changes were made 💯

 

I started lifting weights seriously & eating more! That’s when I really started packing on muscle💪🏾 I was starting to become more confident in my looks at this time because I felt like I was finally reaching my goal! 

 

Everything wasn’t all peaches and cream though, because even though I grew into my head (EVENTUALLY haha), I sustained multiple shoulder injuries from football. One injury required me to have surgery & be down for 6 weeks LAWD🤕

 

 I got lazy + I was also on a “dirty bulk” when all this happened🤦🏾‍♂️This made me have bad nutrition habits while becoming lazy, and that made me get a belly for the first time in my life! Right after that covid happened, and that made everyone gain weight.

 

I will say that losing weight has definitely been the toughest part of my fitness journey, because it’s mentally taxing! I was depressed, and my self esteem was shot! For the first time in my life I didn’t want to take my shirt off. I was self conscious about taking pictures. Through hard work & dedication, I achieved the results I wanted by forcing myself to fight for my old self back. 

 

My confidence is back, I feel great, and I never want to let myself go again! 

 

This is what lead me to get serious about becoming a personal trainer.

 

I got certified through the national council of strength & fitness (NCSF).

 

I spent a semester at Liberty university studying exercise science. while I was there, I took their National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) class. 

 

I also got certified for Assisted stretching when I was working at a place called Stretch Lab. I worked there as a flexologist.
